HOUSE RULES - BAREFOOT AND PARTY BOWLS

HOW TO PLAY
HOW TO PLAY
The Basics:
- The game is played on a large, flat green divided into lanes called “rinks.”
- Each player takes turns rolling a bowl that is slightly weighted on one side so it curves as it rolls.
- The goal is to get your bowl as close as possible to a small white ball called the “jack.”
How to Play:
- Two teams of 1, 2, 3 or 4 players compete against each other.
- Flip a coin or roll a bowl to decide which team rolls that jack.
- Stand on the mat at one end of the rink.
- Aim and roll your bowl underarm toward the jack at the other end. Because of the bowl’s bias (the weight), it will curve.
- After everyone has rolled all their bowls, check whose bowl is closest to the jack. That player or team scores 1 point for each of their bowls that are closer to the jack than the opponent's nearest bowl.
- The winning team rolls the jack back the other way and the next round begins.
Scoring:
The game can be played casually, or you can keep score over several rounds. The team or player with the most points at the end wins.
